2021.10.24 14:59 Next_Fuel8672 How to do a graph with price range as column values
| Hello guys,|
I'm trying to do a graph like this (number of orders in a price range) :
I have the following data in my files (I have set a filter to show only 0-49.99 orders on this one), the first is Order number, price range, ordered items, dates and Distinct count of order number (1st column).
So I need to do a distinct Count of the order numbers, then set a number of price ranges as column values and compare side by side of same period LY in 1 graph. I'm pretty novice with PBI DAX, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

2021.10.24 14:59 LaCouleurDuPrintemps Sony NW-A105 / NW-A100 - 1 year on - thoughts, tips and review
| Introduction Hi all - I have been using, as my main listening device, an EU spec Sony NW-A105 for almost 1 year. I feel I know this device well and thought it would be useful to let others know how I use it now, the downsides, the upsides and, perhaps, a few tips along the way as a follow on from my last review which can viewed here LINK .|
This is quite a detailed review, but hopefully it will be useful to some. There are a few mods to the system I have installed and I also mention volume caps, so it goes without saying, that any advice or information here is to be followed at your own risk.
Anyway here goes....
Battery Life This remains the single most disappointing thing with this player. I would have much preferred it to be twice bulky if that would have meant a bigger battery could have been installed. All that said, it is not as bad as many say and being USB-C it is an easy device to keep topped up! Keeping Wifi off seems to be the best thing you can do to gain a little more battery life. I tend to use WiFi only to download tracks (Spotify) or books (Audible) or Podcasts then turn it off at all other times.
The playback time then varies - from 6 - 10 hours on average depending on what app you are using and how much you use the screen. Using mine daily means a charge up most days. I can live with that - you may not be able to. I also bought, early on, an iWalk USB C Power Reserve - this is great and means I can extend the life of the battery by about 3 times if out and about and way from power.
Experience with Cases and the Side Buttons I bought a Mitre case, early on, which was fake-leather and pretty expensive. It's gone now and has been replaced with a much cheaper TPU case.
The reason for this was to fix one of the most annoying things about the NW-A105. The dedicated buttons on the side! Whilst really useful they were, in my experience, way too easy to press accidentally and way too difficult to identify by touch alone. This was made even worse by the Mitre case. The TPU case, on the other hand, instantly fixed both of these issues. The buttons are both more pronounced and not so easily, accidentally, pressed.
I think it looks pretty good too and was less than $10/£10!
Cheap TPU Case = Better Button Feel
Volume and The EU Volume Warning Dialogue Issue Being an EU model, when listening using the 3.5mm socket, mine has both a volume output cap combined with the most incredibly annoying EU rule which means that if listened to at a higher volume level for 20 cumulative hours (not hard to too as you need to crank it up due to the volume output cap) it automatically reduces the volume to super-quiet 50% until you dismiss the accompanying warning dialogue.
The cap on volume I can live with - it's loud enough for me and my headphones. The warning dialogue and auto reduction to 50% volume every 20 hours is more of a problem. It always pops up when you are least able to deal with it! It's typical of a 'For your own good - because we say so' measure - I hate it.
The only solution is Bluetooth which completely bypasses both issues and this now how I always listen.... read on for more.
Bluetooth vs wired (3.5mm) When I bought the NW-A105 I never envisaged using bluetooth - always using, instead, a wired connection for better sound quality and better battery life. I have come full circle on this.
First of all I have realised that, for me, if using a decent bluetooth receiver (I use a FiiO BTR3K) I cannot hear any difference in sound quality over using the 3.5mm socket directly - shock, horror, I even use the most basic SBC Codec most of the time as I find this the most stable connection.
Of course, your ears might be better than mine and are able to enjoy subtle differences in sound quality but I cannot.
Couple this with all the advantages of listening through bluetooth:
- No EU Volume Cap at all (see above) - No annoying EU Volume warning (see above) - No wire attached to the NW-A105
... and it is now my go-to listening method.
FiiO BTRK3K - Adds Quality Bluetooth To Your Wired Headphones
Finally on this topic there is one other thing I don't like about listening through the 3.5mm socket on my particular copy of the NW-A105! The Sony's 3.5mm socket seems rather loose.
When I plug 3.5mm headphones into any other device they click into place securely (even on my $30/£30 Nokia mobile phone). On my Sony NW-A105 they do not - there is a weak click only and they are way too easy to remove accidentally - a tiny bit of pressure on the cable will do this. They sound fine and the 'electrical' connection is solid, but the 'physical' connection is not. I did not expect this on a player at this price point - it may just be my example, though, so I shouldn't be too harsh on Sony for this.
Sound Quality So, on to sound quality. Whilst my ears cannot distinguish much difference between using the 3.5mm socket vs bluetooth via a FiiO BTR3K (even using the SBC Codec) I can here a difference between the Sony NW-A105 and my old iPhone. The Sony seems to have a fuller but more relaxing sound signature.
I tend to use it all the time with the DIRECT option set in the sound preferences. All that sound processing? No thanks - more battery drain and an artificial sound - I'll stick with with the DIRECT option.
I listen with Koss Portra Pros, JBL Earbuds, AKG K240 MkIIs, Older Bose OE headphones and also connected to my hi-end (but ancient, 20+ year old) HiFi kit. No problems here.
All that said, my personal experience is that, unless there is something seriously wrong, most DAPs, decent Android Phones, iPhones etc. all sound perfectly fine these days. Others will disagree here, I am sure, but we are all different and this is what can (or rather can't) hear.
User Interface and Shortcuts One of the first things I did when I first started using my NW-A105 was install a new launcher - Nova. I absolutely detested the Google centric interface it comes with as standard - this is not what I wanted to see for a music player. In particular the Google Search Box on the home screen - it had to go. Here's how mine looks these days:
New 'Sound Focussed' Interface using the Nova Launcher
So, just a few apps for music and spoken word and some shortcuts for quickly toggling wifi and the like. That is it. I removed or disabled as much of Google as I could as well. I really did not want to use this device for games, email, videos, internet browsing or anything other than sound duties. I feel I have achieved this and ended up with that holy grail - a focused DAP which can also run Podcasts, Audio Books and Spotify alongside my MP3 and FLAC music library.
It is worth saying, too, I use the Stock Music Player after trying many different ones. It looks good, is distraction free and seems to be the least battery hungry.
Losing the Smart Phone Addiction Perhaps the main reason for buying a DAP last year was to cut down my Smartphone use. I feel, more and more, these devices are both intrusive and addictive and have realised my life was better, overall, before I relied on one so much.
Analysing things, I worked out the main apps I would miss if I ditched the smartphone were Spotify, Audible, Podcasts and a way of accessing my music library - hence purchase of the Sony NW-A105.
For calls and SMS I now use a simple Nokia 5310 candy bar phone and for camera duties my old but gorgeous FujiFilm compact system camera. A year on and all good so far.
My New Choice... A simple Nokia and a focussed Sony for a distraction free life
Confession time... I haven't completely ditched my iPhone (the, now, ancient 6S model) but on the other hand I doubt it will ever be upgraded! It now has a Data-Only Sim in it and will be turned on occasionally but only when I have specific need to use it - for example a scheduled Face-Time call with family or when driving to a client and I would benefit from a SatNav. For the rest of the time it is turned off and it rarely leaves the desk drawer. It now works for me - not the other way around.
Conclusions Overall the Sony NW-A105 has been a hit. I love the focussed nature of a DAP but to have one which can also run Spotify, Audible and Podcasts is perfect. Like all devices it is not perfect. in the ideal world it wouldn't have the stupid EU volume cap and warning dialogues, but it would have a more secure 3.5mm socket, an interface which doesn't need "de-googling" and better battery life - but the advantages of this unit still outweigh its disadvantages.
Looking forward, I will continue with my Sony NW-A105 but will keep an eye on the competition in this price bracket. Should an updated Activio CT-10 be released with USB-C that might be worth a look. Or perhaps FiiO will have something in the pipeline which is better than their patchy M9?
One thing is for sure - I do not expect to be spending money I do not have on the latest iPhone for music duties.

2021.10.24 14:59 AffordableInternet1 My theory on Hydaelyn and Zodiark.
>! Hydaelyn and Zodiark is of the same entity. They are one and the same.!<
Let me first state my postulation of what exactly transpired during the Final Days: the opposing Ascians foresaw that Zodiark is a bad idea because the primal was summoned from very negative emotions: Fear, stress, hopelessness. Very much like the later primals where they just leach off the people. They go about countering that by summoning a primal that is the very antithesis of Zodiark. Think of both as the opposite sides of the same coin. The sundering of the shards(worlds) is the result of the struggle between the two primals to take over the body; Hydaelyn attempts to create life(gives) whereas Zodiarks consumes (takes). The “sundering of the souls” is actually Hydaelyn creating more lives, however these beings retain not even a fraction of the Ascian’s powers and intelligence because these are what Zodiarks took. Hydaelyn came out triumphant in the end and the sundered shards are actually the souls of Zodiark.
They are actually the same entity, or that they fuse together soon after summoning. I want to emphasize that Zodiark was present this entire time and may have already influence the WOL’s actions.
1. The WOL had already met and blessed by Zodiark: I forgot which patch but there was a scene in which the WOL met the dark crystal, which I postulate is Zodiark. His souls got split into shards however a slither of it still remains within Hydaelyn. When Hydaulyn power’s weakend he was able to slip out just briefly to meet and blessed the WOL.
2. WOL is the only being able to traverse between the First and the Source freely: Emet Selch was very surprise by this, meaning that not one single being throughout history was able to do this. How come no other adventurers with Echo can do this? Because the WOL was only one ever blessed by both Hydaelyn AND Zodiark, which is why he/she is able to traverse between the Shards that is Zodiark. Which is why you are regarded as the Warrior of Light AND Darkness.
3. The light that almost destroyed the First: Why would Hydaelyn destroyed her own creation if she sees all being on the shards as her children? Because the light flood is not causes by Hydaelyn, but because of her absence. For some unknow reason Z was able to slip out and took control, possibly due to Ascian intervention and/or a severely weakened Hydaelyn. Light is supposed to give life but it’s being turn to something that takes life. Which is why the creatures that are tainted by the light only has the desire to consume, with their soul and the rest their humanity already taken away.
4. Emet Selch saves the WOL during the fight with Elidibus: supposedly part of Azem’s soul reincarnated as the WOL and Emet Selch was just helping his friend. However, I don’t think Emet is the type to let his sentiment get into the way of his goal. But instead, as in his own words, he now deems the WOL as worthy to inherit the star, because he/she is the ONLY one ever blessed by Zodiark. Not only are you the Champion of Hydaelyn but also the Messenger of Zodiark.
Now you might ask, why did Zodiark reach out to our WOL? Because of what I think will happened in Endwalker; the WOL will, unknowingly or indirectly, through some series of actions, bring out Zodiark. Just enough time for he to influence all the other WOLs blessed with the Echo. If Z and H are indeed the same entity that means he will also be able to influence all those linked to H. The rejoining will happen because of Ascians or even Zenos, but because of actions caused by all the other WOL’s with Echo tainted by Z.
